スーパー日本語講師会のSuper-Jコーチが授業で活用する主な教材は、「4階層」で構成されています。その一部である"JAPANese Notes"シリーズについてご紹介します。
このシリーズは漢字が読めない学習者に配慮し、各漢字にふりがなを付け、さらにローマ字表記と英語訳も提供しています。このように手間暇をかけて編集された教材は、外国人の日本語学習者から大変な評価を受けています。
コーチにとっても、この教材は非常に価値があります。全く日本語が読めない初心者から、日本人と同じ文字で読むことに挑戦したい上級者まで、全ての学習者に対応することが可能です。

When you are counting something, the suffix attached to the number changes depending on the thing being counted.

For example: with dogs “hiki” is added, so that’s “ni hiki” (two dogs) and with cars it’s “dai,” so that’s “san dai” (three cars).

Furthermore, besides the “ichi (1), ni (2), san (3)” method of counting, there is another Japanese method for counting numbers up to ten: “hitotsu, futatsu, mittsu, yottsu, itsutsu, muttsu, nanatsu, yattsu, kokonotsu, tou.”

This (other method of counting) is used, as in “Orenji o itsutsu kudasai” (Give me five oranges) rather than “Orenji o go ko kudasai.”
